Eleanor B. Simler

June 29, 1923 – September 21, 2013

Eleanor B. Simler, age 90, as the lady she always was, gracefully left this earth on Saturday, September 21st, 2013. She was reunited in the Kingdom of God with her beloved husband, George B. Simler and all of her loved ones who passed on before her. A loving and dedicated wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother whose most precious treasure in life was her family. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. For those who knew her these words she left her children to remember ring true to her character, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept my word.” You are forever beautiful and special to those of us who had the honor of having you in our lives…’Till We Meet Again!

A memorial mass will take place Tuesday October 1st at 10:00am at the United States Air Force Academy Catholic Chapel, with burial to follow in the USAFA Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the Simler family asks that a donation be made in the name of Eleanor B. Simler to the Air Force Academy Fund in care of USAFA Endowment.
