Don was born in Riverton, Wyoming and moved to Colorado Springs as a small child with his parents and three siblings. Don married his wife, Lee, in November 1958. They soon welcomed their first born, Donald Bart. The couple purchased their first home, then welcomed a new baby girl, Tracy Diane. The family later purchased what would be their forever home where they would celebrate 50 years of marriage.
Don was a loving husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Don was an avid animal lover and an active member in his classic car club.
Don is survived by his two children, Bart (Tori) Justice, Tracy (Daryl) Porter, his sister, Elva Whaley, and grandchildren Ryan (Nicole) Peterson, Derek (Tiffany) Porter, Joel (Natalie) Porter, Chelsea (Lori) Justice, Aaron Porter, Shayne (Ashley) Justice. Along with 11 great-grandchildren.
Don was welcomed home by his wife, Lee, sisters, Mary Ann and Betty Lou, and his parents Lial and Ann Justice.
A memorial service for Ervin will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
