

Frank attended Boston College High School and Boston College, where his studies were interrupted by WWII. He joined the Navy and was a Gunner’s mate 2nd Class on LST 520, serving in the Pacific. Frank was a proud member of the greatest generation. When the war ended, he again enrolled at Boston College and receiving his degree in Social Work and later his Master’s Degree from the University of North Carolina.
Upon coming to Denver, he worked at “Denver General”, and was instrumental in the opening of the original Craig Hospital. He then worked for the State Colorado and was in charge of Maternal and Child Health. Frank later relocated to Massachusetts and worked for the Commonwealth as a nursing home surveyor. Upon retirement in 1994, he returned to Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons Kevin and Joseph; a daughter Amy and stepson Christopher (Robin) Tarjan; two grandsons JJ and Paul step-grandson Christopher James Tarjan; a great granddaughter Mazee Lynn and his former wife Kathy.
He will be missed by family and many friends.
A memorial Mass is planned for 11:00 a.m.. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 N. Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs.
