Frank Zunk

October 14, 1934 – April 12, 2010

Frank Zunk, born October 14, 1934 in Clay Center, Ohio, passed away at the age of 75 on April 12, 2010.

Frank, an area resident since 1959, is survived by his three sons, Jay of Ellicot, Colorado, Scott of Aurora, Colorado and Terry of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sisters Arlene Thorpe and Katherine Hart and Brother Gene Zunk; Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers Roger Zunk and Mel Zunk.

A memorial service will be held on April 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Advantage Chapel of Memories; 829 South Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.

Frank was born in Clay Center, Ohio where he later married Nancy Sue Dart on December 10, 1954. They welcomed their first son, Terry Lee on April 2, 1956 and their second son, Scott Timothy on August 19, 1957. In Ohio, Frank worked for Kimble Electric until he moved his family to Colorado in November of 1959. They then welcomed their third Son, Jay on March 22, 1961. After moving to Colorado, Frank worked for Aircraft Mechanics, Inc. and from there moved on to ICG Electric where he became a Journeyman Electrician until retiring. After retiring, he became a woodworker, where enjoyed making toys for his grandchildren, neighbors, family and friends.

Frank will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and caring personality. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it.
