
Gale was born to Blaine and Ruth Curtis on September 1, 1933 in Declo, Idaho. On June 25, 1953, Gale married Sandra Nisson. Together, they had four children: Kennion Taylor, Steven Blaine, Karen and Joan. Gale was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also enjoyed researching family history and collecting rare books.
Gale earned his bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from Brigham Young University in 1954. He went on to be an accomplished scientist who dedicated his career to developing technologies in missile defense. Gale also used his problem solving skills in the fields of wind energy and agricultural production.
Gale is survived by his Brother, Denny Curtis (Janice) of Burley, Idaho, sister, Susan Toner (David) of Burley, Idaho, son Steven Curtis (Sherry) of Colorado Springs, Karen Gubler (Gary) of Campbell, California, and Joan Nash (Christopher) of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5485 Hopalong Trail, Colorado Springs, at 1:30pm. There will be a viewing immediately preceding at 12:30pm..
