

George Jerome (Jerry) Siebes, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on October 10, 2015, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in San Francisco, California, March 25, 1936, the first of four children born to the late Andrew and Ermine Siebes.
Jerry graduated from Watsonville High School in 1954. He attended San Jose State University, graduating in 1958 where he played golf and was President of his graduating class. He received his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1978. He met Pat, his wife, in San Francisco and they were married on December 21, 1963. He was employed by Hallmark Cards for 30 years in various sales and marketing roles. After leaving Hallmark Cards, he and Pat owned and operated "Pat's Hallmarks" and "Accents and Gifts" stores in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area from 1986 to 1998.
Jerry is revered by his family as a man of integrity whose lifetime of hard work leaves a lasting legacy. Family, friends and community organizations were extremely important in his life. He and Pat travelled extensively for pleasure but also to participate in the lives and activities of their children and grandchildren. In celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary in 2013, they took a family cruise to Alaska. In retirement, Jerry regularly volunteered at the Marian House in Colorado Springs. Earlier in his life he served on various charitable Boards including Big Brothers / Big Sisters, Catholic Community Services and Bishop Miege High School.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory devoted wife, Patricia Siebes; loving children, Colleen Ogren (Bob) of Mission, Kansas; Jennifer Siebes of Overland Park, Kansas; Terry Siebes (Amy) of Leawood, Kansas and Tim Siebes (Margaret) of Leawood, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren, Terry, Megan, Rachel and Mark Ogren; Ellen, Audrey, Andrew and Allison Ochampaugh; George and John R. Siebes and Maggie, Mary-Grace, John J. and Tommy Siebes; sister, Sandy Caires; as well as a host of wonderful lifelong friends.
A funeral mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs at 10:00 am on Friday, October 16th.
A celebration of his life will follow immediately at Garden of the Gods Country Club.
The family wishes to thank the staff of M.D. Anderson in Houston and Rocky Mountain Cancer Center in Colorado Springs for their kind and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marian House in Colorado Springs or Unbound, a lay Catholic non-profit organization that sponsors children and elderly living in poverty around the world.
