

Our Dear Mother lead a good life, she loved all of her family dearly and we all loved her, she will be greatly missed, but she is now standing next to Jesus and all other family that has passed before her.
Gladys was born in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada in May of 1921. Gladys grew up in Canada where, after high school, she joined the Canadian Women’s Army Corps during WW2, she went through basic training at Shilo Camp in Manitoba and then on to the Paratrooper Training Center at Shilo Camp, where she worked as a Type Clerk in the Quarter Master Store from 1942-1945. Gladys was awarded the medals of: The 1939-1945 Star, Canadian Voluntary Service Medal and WW2 Medal. Gladys was very proud to serve her country as her father and brother did during WW1.
In honor of her upcoming 100th birthday, on May 15, 2021, Gladys became an Honorary Member of the 971 Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association.
Gladys is survived by birth daughter Pene Raines (Dennis) of Sunriver, Oregon and three adopted children; James S. Brady of Oregon, Debra Hughes (Micheal) of Camas, Washington and Kathleen Senger (Paul) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Gladys had 6+ grandchildren and 6+ great grandchildren that she loved and missed living far away from them.
Gladys also went by the nickname of “Buddy”.
Buddy had a love of all things NHL hockey and especially Canadian Teams and Canadian Players. She was fond of Wayne Gretzky and recently Sidney Crosby. Buddy wanted to see the end of this season wanting and hoping, to see the Oilers win the Stanley Cup. (sadly they didn’t win it).
Buddy was preceded in death by her husband Dean S Brady, and 9 Siblings, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
A Niche-side service will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 at 9:00AM at Avenue of the Flags, Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
