

Helen Pollard sunrise in Boyce, Louisiana on April 12, 1928 to Tom and Amie Roberts. She sunset this life on April 14, 2014. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband of 52 years, Paul I. Pollard, Sr., who affectionately called her Baby; and her beloved daughter, Geraldine (Geri) Pollard.
Helen came to Colorado Springs as a military wife in 1964. She was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and a charter member of VFW 3917 in Security, Colorado. She was a devoted mother and friend.
Helen leaves behind to cherish a legacy of her precious memories her sister, Ruby Fisher of Orange, Texas; a daughter, Gail Pollard-Washington of Raleigh, North Carolina; four sons, Paul Jr., Ronnell, and Bobby, all of Colorado Springs; and Vincent of Knoxville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Reji Pollard, Tonya Talley, Cece Talley, Paul I. Pollard III, Krista Washington, Demitrius Haeffner, Ronnell Pollard II, Elija Wares, Xandria Pollard, and Zora Pollard; and her great grandchildren: Alyssa Wolfe, Elija Wolfe, Nalayah Haeffner, Nariah Haeffner, Nalyssa Haeffner, Awntario Haeffner, and Aizik Haeffner.
