James R. Brady, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 6th, 2021, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Portland, Oregon on August 1st, 1940, the fourth of six children born to the late James and Sylvia Brady.
Jim graduated from the University of Portland in 1962, with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science and in 1968, graduated from Texas A&M University with a Master of Computing Sciences.
He was married to his wife, Janice L. (Moro) Brady on September 29th, 1962.
Jim was an Air Force Veteran who served our country honorably for 20 years. He then worked as a Systems Engineer until his retirement.
Jim was a long time active parishioner at Holy Apostles Catholic Church. His life was a beautiful example of Faith and was filled with Friendship, Family, and Fun.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, sisters Kathleen and Geraldine and his oldest grandchild, Shannon Sullivan.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janice L. Brady; loving children, Theresa(Mike) Sullivan, Karen (Joe) Morales, Mary (Herb) Klopfenstein, Jim (Jennifer) Brady, Michelle (Chris) Hansen; 17 loving grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Fran, Mike, Tom, and many wonderful friends.
Visitation will take place Monday, June 14th, 2021 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, with a Rosary Service at 6:15. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 15th, at 11:00AM, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 North Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, at 2PM.
