James (Jim) J. Greer was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 50 years, died at home with his family present, on September 26, 2013. He was born October 2, 1927, in Nashville, Tennessee, one of six children to Katie and Hugh Greer.
Jim was a Navy WWII veteran, whom after a long career in the construction industry enjoyed his retirement pursuing woodworking.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 65 years, Mary (Sally) and his six children: Sharon McClellan, Michael Greer, Patrick (Trisha) Greer, Cathy (Ron) O'Canna, Margy Greer, and Theresa Greer, as well as three brothers, one sister, numerous grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Memorial service is being held on October 2, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
