James Arvid Mayer of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on Tuesday November 19,2024 at the age of 80. He was born on 09/21/1944 in Van Hook, North Dakota. He worked as Transmission Shop Owner/Mechanic. He was actively involved in Gambling, fishing, having some beers with the guys, and making the best green Chili!
He is preceded in death by his wife, Blossom Linda Mayer; son, Cody Allen Mayer; father, August Mayer; mother, Lillian Mayer; brother, Gary Mayer; and sister, Idella Larsen.
He is survived by his son, James B Mayer Jr; daughter-in-law, Darla Arguello-Mayer; brother, Myron Mayer; grandchildren, Jamie Mayer, Alyssa Mayer, Dakota Mayer, and Porter Mayer. Also great grandchildren Delilah Vigil, Mariah Vigil, Aiyana Mayer, and Haizley Mayer.
There will be no services held here in Colorado Springs at dad’s request. We will be returning his remains to South Dakota to be at rest with his love Blossom Mayer and son Cody Mayer at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City.
