James H. Pobst, 81, of Colorado Springs, passed away on April 28, 2011 of multiple myeloma. James was born on February 6, 1930 in Westcliffe, Colorado to the late Alfred and Belva (Fern) Pobst. Upon discharge from the U.S. Army, Jim worked as a safety engineer for federal highways for several years. He enjoyed handball, riding his bike and woodworking.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ina and daughters, Jan (Scott) Cardon, Lois Pobst and Lynda (Bill) Jackson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:15 AM, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pikes Peak Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
