

James Richey Sluder, 68, passed peacefully, Thursday, February 24, 2022 with his loving spouse Linda Sluder (Jago) of 50 years, Jennifer Richardson his daughter at his side at his home. James was battling cancer.
James was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 19, 1954.
James went to Widefield high school and graduated in 1972 at the age of 17, He than married his girlfriend Linda Jago in September 16, 1972. He has been a long time resident in the Widefield area.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force August 1978, and was stationed in Wichita Texas, Biloxi Mississippi and Fairbank Alaska before coming back home to Colorado Springs AFB, on Active Duty Air Force to serve a total of 8 years, and then got out of the Air Force in July of 1986. James then worked on Fountain fort Carson as of July of 1993 and then retired as of August of 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sluder (Jago); Children: Jennifer Richardson, Grandchildren: Kaitlyn Burch and Cassidy Burch. Son in Law: John Richardson Brother In Laws: David Jago, Billy Jago, Vernon Jago, Robert Jago and Andy Jago. James mutually loved many extended family members, friends and neighbors.
James loved traveling to Gunnison, Colorado to his father’s cabin almost every weekend with his family. He enjoyed life of hunting in October with his family and friends; he also loved to fish, Horseback riding, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and to his granddaughters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 12, 2022 beginning at 11 AM at Memorial Gardens 3825 Airport Rd, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910, followed by a Mercy Meal Served at VFW Located at 753 S Santa Fe Ave, Fountain Colorado 80817, Come Celebrate James wonderful life!
