Jan Ann Stuck

Jan Ann Tackett beloved wife and mother passed away unexpectedly on March 18th in Canon City, Colorado with her family by her side. Jan was born in Martinsville, Indiana to Thomas and Cassandra Tackett on September 16, 1963. Jan Ann, known also by the name “Jake” by family and friends, was the second of three children.

Jan graduated Martinsville High School in 1981 and went on to graduate college at Indiana State in 1985. Jan started a career in law enforcement with the federal government in 1992. She was the first female correctional officer to work a United States Penitentiary in Terre Haute Indiana. Jan transferred to Florence Colorado in 1995 where eventually she became a Drug Treatment Counselor for 17 years. Jan touched and changed thousands of lives over the course of her life. In 1999 she married Sean Stuck and they had a daughter, Olivia. Jan loved to be a counselor and worked three years past retirement because she loved to help people. Jan was a giving person, known to make jewelry and give it away if you said you liked it. She will be missed by her family and friends. Jan was greeted in heaven by her niece Sydney Campbell and her grandparents.

The first service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017, Viewing at 10:00 am Celebration of Life at 11:00 Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, 245 South Raynolds, Canon City, Colorado. The second service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 26, 2017, Riverview Christian Church, 4295 Egbert Road, Martinsville, Indiana. The third service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, FCC Florence Complex, 5880 Highway South 67, Florence, Colorado.
