Jian Chang was born on July 17, 1970 in Zhongshan, China to Li Zhiming and Huang Yuying. She went to Maowan Primary School and Pinglan Middle School in Sanxiang, Zhongshan, China. She moved to the United States in 1997 at the age of 27. Jian Chang was incredibly outgoing, and she cherished spending time with her children and friends. No matter the distance, she always made sure her friendships remained strong. She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends around the world.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Chan; her son, Wayne Chan; her sister, Li Jianmei (Chen Pengtao); her brother, Li Jianwei (Li Qiuchan); her nieces, Chen Weiling (Xiao Weifeng), Li Shimin (Zhu Jiarui), and Li Shiying; and her nephew, Chen Junhua (Feng Jingshi). She is preceded in death by her father, Li Zhiming; and mother, Huang Yuying.
Her memorial service is scheduled for September 21, 2024 at 10am at Heart of the Springs Church. Friends, family, and others are invited to honor the life of Jian Chang Li Chan.
