Joan Margaret Conway

Joan was born February 12, 1932, in Wilkes Barre, PA to Arthur and May McCarthy.

She married her high school sweetheart Paul James Conway on September 11, 1952. Together they raised four children.

Joan was a homemaker for several years before pursuing careers at the Air Force Academy School District, and at the US Postal Service for 25 years.

Throughout the years, Joan was active in her church, served as the editor of the Postal Service Union newsletter, was a board member of the local Irish Club, and volunteered at Memorial Hospital. She was an avid reader and appreciated and celebrated for her culinary skills.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Paul, daughter Mary, two granddaughters, Kelly and Caitlin, parents, and siblings.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons Paul (Fran) Conway, Thomas (Cindy) Conway and Brian Conway, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, as well as extended family.

A private memorial service is being held.
