Joe went to be with our Lord unexpectedly on January 27, 2012. Beloved husband of Beverly A. Kersten; cherished father of Michael (Audra) Kersten, David (Angela) Kersten, and Kelly (Tommy) Harrington. Adored “Papa” to Zachary, Sierra, Ian, Tristan and Cheyenne Kersten, and loved step-grandfather to Quinton and Logan Harrington.
Joe was predeceased by parents Joseph and Marie Kersten. He is survived by brothers John, James, Douglas, David (Patty) Kersten, and sister, Donna (James) Ciulis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Thursday, February 2 from 5 – 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, Colorado Springs, CO. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Friday, February 3 at 10:15 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Children’s Hospital in Denver or to Donor Alliance.
