Josephine Reneau

Josephine Reneau, 99, of Colorado Springs, passed away on August 20, 2024 at Penrose Main Hospice in Colorado Springs. Josephine was born on July 3, 1925 in Skocjan, Slovenia to Alojz and Alojzija (Porle) Andrejcic. On January 13, 1948 she married Roy Reneau in Linz, Austria.

Josephine loved the mountains, enjoyed baking, walking, crocheting and traveling. Being with family and friends brought her the most joy.

Josephine is preceded in death by her husband Roy, who passed November 5, 1982, parents, Alojz and Alojzija, sisters, Mici, Toncka, and Ivanka, brothers, France and Lojze.

Surviving are her son, Gary Wayne Reneau, daughter, Lynn Marie Neilson, grandchildren Frank (Carly) Singleton and Andrew (Rachal) Neilson, great grandchildren Harper and Talon Singleton, Nathan and Carter Neilson, her sister Stanka Peterc, her brother Drago Andrejcic. Additional survivors include foster daughter, Barbara, foster son, Scott, bonus grandchildren, Calvin, Eric, Danny, Jonathan, Sarah, Kelly, bonus greatgrandchildren, Tyler, Aiyana, Jonathan Jr, Landon, Dagon and Mason.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80910.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church,

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
