

Kay was born on November 26, 1934 in Beaver Dam, WI to John Pritchard and Etta Freeman. She had five brothers: Harry, Ron, Bill (Harriet)
Roger (Sylvia) and Eugene. She had two sisters: Helen Kasmiski (Edwin) and Myrtle Weber (Paul).
Kay graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1953. She went to nursing school in Milwaukee where she earned her bachelor's degree and spent over forty years in the nursing field. Kay met Richard Reuteler in 1957 and they were married one year later. They had two children: Jill and Jacqueline.
In 1977, the family moved to Colorado, first living in Colorado Springs and then settling in Monument where they had a small ranchette with horses. Richard passed away in 1994 and left Kay as ranch manager.
In addition to tending the horses, Kay enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, needlework, reading, feeding the birds, travelling and visiting friends and family.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her husband, Richard (1994) her daughter Jacqueline (2024) and son-in-law Pete Ricker (2009), and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter Jill Ricker of Parker, CO as well as niece Lisa Zarling of Horicon, WI and nephew John Weber of Juneau, WI, sister in law Harriet Pritchard of WI, as well as other nieces and nephews and close friends.
A memorial mass will be held November 21, 2024 at 11;00am at St. Peter Catholic Church in Monument, CO. A celebration of life will be held November 23, 2024 at 1;30pm at Terra Bluffs Assisted Living in Parker, CO with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kay's name may be made to the American Lung Association 5600 Greenwood Plaza Blvd, #300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
