Kyle Luciano was a courageous and kind man. Throughout his 41 years, he consistently offered help, counsel, and friendship to those in need, even when he himself was hurting. He was a stalwart and loyal friend. Kyle’s smile and authenticity were the first things anyone noticed when he walked into a room. Those were certainly the first attributes his wife Shannon (Gaber) Luciano (47) appreciated when she first met him on November 12th of 2017. They married on June 18, 2019 in Colorado Springs, CO. She grieves the loss of a generous and loving partner in life. Her son Landon (16) will miss the friendship and support he shared with his stepdad.
Kyle was born on May 10, 1982 in Wichita, Kansas, and spent most of his childhood in Florida and Arkansas. He later lived in New York until he joined the army in 2001. He put his military career on hold in 2009 when he chose to study finance at the University of Maine. Upon graduation in 2012, he was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado as an officer. Kyle’s military career ended shortly afterwards when he was diagnosed with a severe case of PTSD, and he was honorably discharged. Kyle then worked at Memorial Hospital for a short time before landing a position at USAA in 2016, followed by Charles Schwab in 2020, where he continued to work until his death. Kyle enjoyed playing video games as an escape from the stresses of life. He also loved going on hikes, watching movies, and he hoped to travel more with his wife in the near future.
Kyle will be greatly missed by many. The following are relatives who mourn the loss of Kyle and also wish him great peace and comfort: his parents Luis Luciano (New York) and Karen Massey (Arkansas); his sister and brother-in-law Kristal and Mike Kimberling (Oklahoma); their children Christian (27), Korbin (22), Kaycee (15), Michael (14), and Kennedy (9); his half-brother Kevin Hansen (Arkansas). In addition, his father-in-law Mark Gaber, mother-in-law Lori Gaber, sister-in-law Courtney Klingerman, and brother-in-law Adam Klingerman all of Indiana, will greatly miss Kyle. His wife Shannon and his stepson Landon will also cherish and treasure the time they got to spend with Kyle.
Kyle died by suicide. This cause of death does not in any way diminish the life that Kyle lived, full of honor, love, heartache, joy. He was a good man, and those who knew him grieve his passing deeply.
A Celebration of Life for Kyle will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Chapel of Memories, 829 South Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChapelofMemoriesfh.com for the Luciano family.
