Laurie was welcomed in heaven into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on October 24, 2012 after a long, heroic battle with melanoma. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. What a blessing she was to so many people, even strangers, because she always put others before herself. Laurie passed away at home with her family by her side holding her hand and loving on her. A strong faith in the Lord and a deep love for her family are two of her greatest attributes.
Laurie worked at Wells Fargo as an Employee Relations Consultant. She was extremely good at her job and was well respected by peers and supervisors alike. Laurie proudly served her country for over 9 years in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves; working in personnel and serving as an Air Force Reserve recruiter. In the evenings, she worked very hard on her college education. She received an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree in Human Resources. Laurie then left the military to pursue a civilian career and support her husband in his military career.
What was most important to Laurie was her love for the Lord and her family. Her prayers throughout her illness were for the Lord’s protection and strength for her family. She was so dearly loved and will be so greatly missed. The loss of Laurie will leave a hole in the lives of her family that can only be filled by God’s grace, mercy, and abiding love. Left to honor her memory is husband, Daniel Bush; son, Jacob (Katie) Bush; daughter, Stephanie Bush; son, David Bush. She is also survived by grandchildren; Rilea Bush, Conor Bush, Quinn Bush, and Adeline Bush; parents, Darrell and Linda Cash; sisters, Lynette (John) Dick and Sue (Brad) Reed; brothers, Brian Cash and Brad Cash. Laurie was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Laurie’s greatest desire for everyone was that you would seek the Lord Jesus Christ with all of your heart, mind, soul, and spirit; and to read the Bible every day and grow in faith.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 NKJV
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18 NKJV
