Hospital Hospice Center in Colorado Springs Saturday, October 2,
2021 at 11:40 PM. His battle with cancer for almost 2 years showed his
true fighting spirit and courage up until the end. He was still putting his
sailboat in the water last summer despite his cancer treatments.
He was born in Portland, Maine on July 30,1949 to Lucien and Phyllis
Brodeur. He grew up in Bolton, CT with his siblings Carlene, Sharon,
Nancy and Michael Brodeur. He attended Bolton High School. He
graduated 1968. He later attended Ward School of Electronics at
University of Hartford studying electronics. He graduated 1972. He also
attended Regis University to receive his Bachelors of science in
Computer engineering. He started working for Digital Equipment
Corporation in 1972 and stayed there through the company changes to
Compaq then HP until he retired in 2007. His job moved the family from
Connecticut to Charlotte, NC and his final home Colorado Springs,
Colorado. He enjoyed sailing and got his captains license at Annapolis
Sailing School. He spent his summers on his sailboat on Blue Mesa
Reservoir, Colorado. You could find him every weekend on his boat. He
also enjoyed camping, skiing and watching football, especially the
Denver Broncos. He loved to spend time with his family and
grandchildren. He was always present on grandparents day for the
grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Linda, his children, Michelle, Erin
and Christa, and his grandchildren, Ella, Jack, Layla, Maggie, Max,
Caleb and Rylan, his brother Michael and sister Sharon. He was
preceded in death by his siblings Carlene and Nancy and his parents
Lucien and Phyllis.
Lee will be honored in a celebration of life gathering at a later date to
be determined by his daughters. I’m sure he is sailing the seas of
heaven, enjoying one of his favorite Jimmy Buffet songs, until we meet
again.
Lee was cremated at Mountain View Mortuary in Colorado Springs. In
lieu of flowers please make a donation to American Cancer Society at
