Lillie I. Perkins

Lila was born in Medanales New Mexico to Jose and Sinforosa Martinez on Oct 20, 1929 and she graduated from Espanola high school. She later would marry John R. Perkins and have 2 children Carolan Bickford and Jerry Perkins.

She worked at Broadmoor Hotel and also for the school district.

Lila loved to dance, going to church and praying the rosary daily, she loved cooking and spending holidays with the family. She always had a beautiful smile and great big hugs waiting for you at the door.

Lila is preceded in death by her father Jose Martinez, mother Sinforosa Martinez, husband John R Perkins, siblings Orlando Martinez, Tony Martinez, and Mary Ortiz-Martinez and great grandson Silas Bickford.

Lila is survived by her daughter Carolan Bickford, her son Jerry Perkins, her grandchildren David Bickford and Melissa Ramos, great grandchildren Danecia Bickford, Di’Angelo Bickford, Donovan Bickford, Romeo Ramos and great-great granddaughter Amora Green.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Perkins, David Bickford, Di’Angelo Bickford, Donovan Bickford, Justin Green, Richard Ramos

A visitation for Lillie will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 11:30 AM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

A funeral service will occur Monday, July 1, 2024 from 12:00 PM, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

Burial will follow the service and Lillie will be interred at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
