Lisa Arena of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on August 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 24, 1966, to Bill Yamello, Lisa lived a life full of laughter, creativity, and unconditional love.
Lisa was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Amber Brooks and Brianna Arena, and the proud “LaLa” to her three grandchildren—Roman Antonio Martinez, Joan Leslie Brooks, and Montgomery Brooks—who were her absolute pride and joy. She could often be found on the floor with them playing learning games, covered in glitter from arts and crafts, or crocheting something cozy just because she thought they “might need it someday.”
Though she and Vincent Arena were no longer married, he remained the love of her life and a constant part of her story.
Lisa had a gift for making the ordinary feel special. Whether it was a quiet afternoon crocheting, an impromptu family hangout, or a messy craft session with the grandkids, she made sure laughter and love filled the room. She was the type of grandma who never said no to “just one more” story, game, or cookie.
Her warmth, humor, and boundless heart will be dearly missed but forever remembered in every handmade blanket, every shared laugh, and every hug that lingers just a little longer.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, smile through tears, and honor the beautiful soul who taught us that love and creativity go hand in hand.
