

April 18, 1914 – March 17, 2015
Margaret E. Gibson, a lifelong resident of Yoder, CO., passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home, March 17, 2015. She was born April 18, 1914 in Yoder to Jacob and Elizabeth (Wagoner) Classen.
Margaret married Sam Gibson on April 30, 1940. She was a homemaker and a retired rancher/farmer. She loved gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a devoted fan of “Days of Our Lives”, “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy”. Her flower gardens were “things of beauty” and she was known as the “Flower Lady”.
Margaret was preceded in death by Sam, her loving husband of 69 years. She is survived by her children: Cathy (Eddie) Salsbury of Bolkow, MO.; Peggy (Rodney) Jordan of Yoder; Jeanne (Charles) Reed of Yoder; Sam (Karen) of Bonita Springs, FL.; and Suzy (Terry) Peet of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed until we meet again.
The family is eternally grateful to her longtime caregiver, Leslie LaChapelle, who made it possible for her to remain in her home.
Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade, are handling all services. Visitation will be Thursday, March 26 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Yoder.
