Marie Taylor

Marie was born on January 13, 1935, in Bartow County, Georgia to Maggie Tumlin. One of her greatest joys during her youth was the birth of her baby sister, Ellen.

Marie married Marvin G. Taylor on May 7, 1955. Together they had three children.

Marie was active in sports in her youth and enjoyed college football throughout her life, especially the University of Georgia Bulldogs! She retired from Lockheed Martin and shortly thereafter she and Marvin moved to Colorado to enjoy time with their grandchildren.

Marie was a Christian and faithfully attended the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Marvin Taylor; her daughter, Luann (Robert) Simkins; son, David Taylor; and daughter, Leslie Brown. Also surviving Marie is her sister, Ellen (Jimmy) Whitfield; grandchildren Maggie Scarborough, Matthew (Zoe) Brown; JT (Kayla) Brown; great-grandchildren, Macey, Jordyn, and Hallie Brown, Ava and Adam DelSesto.

Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be forever missed by all who knew her. At her request, no services will be held.
