Matthew Haywood

Matthew Alan Haywood, a brother, a son, a boyfriend, and a friend, passed away July 18th in his sleep. He lived a wonderful life and died happy. We are comforted to know that he is now safe, playing music and dancing with God. He was an amazing person, loved by many and will be missed by many. Matthew was a wonderful musician and friend to all.

Matthew is survived by his sister, Lyndsay Haywood of Fort Collins, mother Dawn Haywood and father Roger Haywood of Colorado Springs, grandparents Wayne and JoAnn Haywood of Elyria Ohio. He was a nephew of Dale and Becky Haywood, Glenn and Pam Haywood, Marianne Knight, Daniel and Sharon Vermilya, Nancy Vermilya, Dennis Lujan, and Jeff Milligan. He was a wonderful cousin to many and loved by Cheri, Danielle, and Jake. He loved and was dearly loved by Nastassia Godoy of Los Angeles, CA.

He was music major at Selkirk College in British Columbia.

There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday July 26th at 3:00 pm in Colorado Springs at Woodmen Heights, 8292 Woodmen Valley View. Please attend if you are able to celebrate the awesome life that Matt lived.
