Norma Belle Wittmer

Norma left us on February 18, 2017, peacefully in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She had 3 brothers who she and her mother cared for after her father died when Norma was 12

years old. She remained close to those 3 brothers, Merle, Richard and Paul her entire life.

Norma was married in 1943 to Dale Allen. They moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1952 and had

2 children Mike and Dana.

Among many jobs Norma had, the longest and the one she enjoyed the most was working at

Wichita State University, officially as a secretary for the Dean of Music, and unofficially as

counsel to 100's of students for many many years.

She married Duane Wittmer in 1974 and became stepmother to Mary Ellen Wittmer (Elliott)

and Phil Wittmer.

Between Norma and Duane, she enjoyed 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She has

been preceded in death by Duane Wittmer and Dale Allen. Her mother and father, Herbert and

Vera Fettke, and her beloved brothers, Merle Fettke, and Richard Fettke. Norma had many talents

hidden and obvious, and was exceptional at brightening people's day, and always remembering your name.

She lived a life devoted to her Lord and Savior, and was confident that she would be with HIM along

with those who had gone before her in the end.

Her final words were, "I Love You"' which sums up the big heart that she had for her Lord, her family

and friends, "We Love You too Norma Bell".
