Pam was born on March 2, 1953 to Helen and Melvin “Packie” Meininger in Los Angeles, CA. Pam was an only child.
Growing up in California, Pam enjoyed going to parties with friends, hanging out at the beach, and playing with her dog “Chance”.
Pam’s best memories were spending the summers at her mother’s family farm in Rockport, MO and hanging out with her grandpa, Purley Millsap. Spending time on the farm, Pam developed a great love for animals, both large and small, as well as growing houseplants.
Pam was an avid reader and especially enjoyed murder mysteries.
In 1975, Pam graduated from UCLA with her bachelor’s degree in arts and philosophy (typical hippie!)
Shortly after graduating, in 1977 Pam married Kurt Patrick Tietz. They welcomed two children – son, Kurt Joseph Tietz in 1980, and daughter, Karen Denise Roth (Tietz) in 1983. In the early 1990’s, Pam and her children moved to Colorado Springs, CO.
Pam continued to nurture her love of animals there. She fostered many dogs and cats for a local rescue and even raised and showed rabbits with her children.
Pam is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brian Roth; son, Kurt Tietz; and granddaughters, Kailee Burgess, Amber Tietz, and Pearl Tietz.
Pam was preceded in passing by both parents, Helen and Packie Meininger; and Kurt Patrick Tietz.
