

Patricia Ann Bush "Nana" of Colorado Springs passed away May 26, 2023 at the age of 92, after a brief illness. She leaves behind cherished memories and lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was born January 30, 1931 in Westford Massachusetts to Harry and Claire Carbo; one of five children. Patricia Married her husband Clyde Stewart at the tender age of sixteen with her parents’ permission and followed him to Germany as a military spouse, he proceeded her in death on January 7, 1985. She later married William "Bill" Bush, they traveled the country in their RV club along with a group of friends, he preceded her in death on October 9, 2010.
She is survived by her sister Joan Esposito (Carbo) of Colorado Springs, CO; son Daniel C. Stewart of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons, Daniel Stewart of Colorado Springs; Christopher W. Stewart of Cathlamet, WA; grandson-in-law DJ Wolcott Cathlamet, WA; great grandchildren Brian Taylor Cathlamet, WA;, Ben Weidner Cathlamet, WA;, Robert Weidner Long Beach , WA; Caitlyn Stewart, Hurlburt Field Air Force Base Florida; Christopher R. Stewart Cathlamet, WA; Emma Stewart Portland, OR; and Everly Stewart Portland, OR; Great-great grandchildren, Malachi, Zacharia and Isaiah Taylor Cathlamet, WA; and Timothy and Aubrey Weidner Long Beach , WA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nana played piano and was involved in an orchestra for many years and continued to play the piano for her grandson Daniel, they had an unbreakable bond through music and love. Nana drove school bus for district 11 for many years, as well as teaching safety courses for fellow drivers, she met many lifelong friends in her career and would attend regular gatherings to play Bunco and have lunch dates. She loved life and lived it to the fullest, and was fiercely independent She was very involved with Martin Luther homes which later became Mosaic. Nana assisted with many fundraisers and in any capacity, she was needed to help in Mosaic's mission. Nana raised her grandson Daniel whom was born with severe disabilities, Through her grandson Daniel she became known as Nana to many residents and staff within Mosaic, as well as close friends. Nana was Daniels biggest advocate and remained so up until her passing. Nana would also advocate for other individuals with different abilities if she felt they were in need, she loved her family and friends so very much.
Nana was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, siblings Kenneth and John Carbo, sister Millicent (Millie) Carbo Stewart, Granddaughter Jennifer Wolcott and infant great grandson Michael. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 11AM-12PM

A memorial service for Patricia will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, followed by a committal service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
