Patrick was born on September 23, 1956 in Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri.

He lead a team in the efforts to find survivors of the building collapse and unfortunately remains that would give the survivors closure. It was there that his exposure to the environment caused his multiple illnesses, the last taking his life. He was loved by so many grateful people who he saved from an emergency, and by his family and friends. His memory will live in all who he touched throughout his career and their families.
