Peggy was a spunky, artistic soul who loved and cared deeply for those around her. She made friends everywhere she went and had a knack for making others feel welcome and included. She had a passionate heart for all children, but particularly special needs children. She retired from Colorado Springs School District 11 after 20 years of service. She spent her whole career at Jefferson Elementary School. She was a lifelong volunteer with many organizations, an accomplished amateur quilter, seamstress, painter and all around crafter, and also loved gardening. She loved spending time and taking art classes at the Colorado Springs Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milan Savage and Elizabeth “Betty” Jane (Cash) Savage. She is survived by her brother Greg (Irene), two daughters, Kristi (Robert), and Sandra (Jordan), 6 grandchildren: Lauren, Jason (Katy), Michael, Kaylen, Patrick, and Aaron, and one great-grandchild, Eliza. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting any memorial contributions be made to the Colorado Springs Senior Center.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. ~Psalm 73:26
