

She was born March 6, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to George and Mabel Ray. Years after her mother died George married Isabelle Baldwin who was a kindergarten teacher. Her father was a high school principal. Phyllis grew up in Wisconsin and Florida. She attended the University of Wisconsin where she studied music. She worked as a church organist for 40 years and loved to sing in the choir.
She married Elwood Larsen on April 2, 1943. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Civil Engineering. After serving in the United States Army, he worked in the water supply and control and the EPA. They enjoyed the Florida life-beaching, swimming, sailing and traveling around Europe visiting her daughter and husband.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Fedorczuk (Walter), grandchild Natasha (Robert Jacobs) great grandchildren Julia, Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Jessica; and grandchild Nikolas (Rachel Chadick) great grandchildren Nickson, and twin girls to be born this month.
