

Rella Marie Correll, 92, Colorado Springs, Colorado, departed this life, onward to her long desired eternal home on Wednesday,May 14, 2014. Cause of death was attributed to a long fruitful life of hard work and kind service to those she loved.
She was born August 14, 1921, in McCracken, Kansas to Umphrey and Zelpha Roser.
Rella married Clarence Correll of Tacony, Colorado on September 27, 1940.
She is survived by her children; Linda Dickinson (spouse, Darol) of Barnesville, OH, and Alfred Correll (spouse, Pat) of Colorado Springs, CO; her 6 grandchildren- Kirk Dickinson (spouse, Linda) of Barnesville, OH; Chad Dickinson (spouse, Stefanie) of Georgetown, TX; Joel Dickinson (spouse, Misty) of Barnesville, OH; Dela Lenz (spouse, Steve) of Ellicott, CO; Tori Horling (spouse, Tony) of Ft. Collins, CO; Tyler Heberer (spouse Jeremy) of Greeley, CO; her 14 great grandchildren are Brice Dickinson, Shane Dickinson, Trista Dickinson, Marshall Dickinson, Kara Dickinson, Bry Dickinson, Nicole Lenz, Austin Lenz, Andi Correll, Landon Horling, Levi Heberer, Gabe Heberer, Andrew Heberer, and Noah Heberer.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 66 years, Clarence Correll of Tructon, CO; her mother and father, Umphrey and Zelpha Roser, her 9 brothers and sisters, and her 4 nieces and 1 nephew.
Clarence and Rella lived in rural El Paso County for their entire marriage, at their farm in Tructon, CO for 58 years. Clarence and Rella worked in the ranching and farming business long hard hours. They were faithful to provide a strong Christian witness to the poor, who were fed in their home, and encouraged, neither expecting reward for their dedication. Clarence maintained the Antioch Church building as long as his health allowed. Rella expressed her love, by her Christian evangelism, encouraging all to be saved and dedicate their lives to the Lord. She was politically conservative savoring Fox News and enjoying Bible reading up to her last days. She received hours of listening pleasure from great Christian music, cards, flowers and numerous family members who came and visited her.
Rella worked as a cook at Edison School for many years, was a professional homemaker, and loved to cook for ranch hands for many years. Anyone that missed her cooking, her great pies and rolls, missed out on some of the finest delicacies of life.
Rella was one of the original members of Antioch Community Church at Tructon, CO.
Rella moved to Ellicott to a home provided by Chad and Stef Dickinson after Clarence’s passing in 2006, and then to Colorado Springs in 2011 to live with her dedicated care provider Colette Lindt, until her passing.
Funeral Services will be held at Antioch Community Church, 5855 Boone Road, Yoder on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. A reception will be held back at the church following the burial.
