Robert Louis Ammel

Born on January 25, 1956, in Lawrence, Kansas, Robert was lovingly known as “Pete,” a name that grew from the childhood nickname “Sweety Petey.” That nickname truly captured who he was at heart—warm, generous, and always ready to help those around him.

Pete made his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and simple joys. Whether tinkering under the hood of an old car, casting a fishing line alongside his grandchildren, or sipping his morning coffee while reading his Bible, Pete found fulfillment in the everyday moments that mattered most. His caring spirit and steady presence touched many lives, and his memory will continue to guide those who loved him.

He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose legacy of love and faith will live on in those who were blessed to know him.

A memorial service will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, located at 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, on September 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A reception will follow at the same location from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
