

Mr. Robert N. Combs, longtime resident of Colorado Springs Colorado, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28th, 2017 at the age of 89 in Littleton Colorado. Robert was born on November 8th, 1927 in New York City to parents Robert Berkley Combs and Lena Elizabeth Keller Combs. Robert joined the Merchant Marines in March of 1945 at the age of 17 and later joined the US Army in 1948 where he proudly served for over 20 years. His service included tours in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He is the recipient of the bronze star. Robert retired from the US Army in 1971 and worked as a construction supervisor before joining the City of Colorado Springs Regional Building Inspection Department, where he worked for over 15 years. After his retirement he volunteered with Marion House in downtown Colorado Springs, where he devoted 15 years of service.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Bruna Felicita Spagna Combs. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Caroline Theresa Combs; his sister, Carol Ann McCarty; his son, Michael Combs wife Nicole; his daughter, Deborah Leeth, husband Marty; his son, Patrick, wife Theresa; his grandchildren, Brandon Haase, Kristin Haase, Austin Haase, Zachary Leeth, Allison Oliva, Luke Leeth, Truman Combs, Jordan Combs, Riley Combs, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral Service will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 9AM . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marion House of Colorado Springs.
