

Bob was born February 16, 1953 in Glendale California to John and Eleanor Cunningham. He has one sister Janice (Cunningham) Szpila. He grew up in Glendale California enjoying lots of time outdoors camping and riding dirt bikes with friends. He graduated from Glendale high school and got his associates from Glendale Community College.
Bob met his wife Judy in 1978 at Lake ave Congregational church in Pasadena, California and got married in August 1980. They settled down in Pasadena for a short time then moved to Montrose California for 11 years. In 1994 they moved with their 3 children, Daniel, Sarah and Matthew to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Bob worked at Sears off and on for a number or years in California and Colorado. He worked with his father at their roofing company as a roofing contractor for quite a few years. After he moved to Colorado he worked at Sears for some time then started working as a bus driver at Academy District 20 for 26 years retiring in 2021.
Bob enjoyed adventures with his family. He loved camping, going 4-wheeling, motorcycle rides, and just spending quality time with family and friends. Bob was a cowboy at heart. He loved getting dressed up in his western gear and being apart of a western stunt group at the county fair. He was a wonderful Godly man, husband, father, uncle and grandfather.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Judy; his children Daniel Cunningham and wife Sara, Sarah (Cunningham) MacLean and husband Jeff and Matthew Cunningham; his grandchildren, Elliana, Isaac, Felicity, Owen and Emma; his sibling Janice (Cunningham) Szpila, as well as nieces and a nephew and close friends.
A memorial of Bob will be held on Saturday March 15th at 1pm at Crossroads Chapel 840 North Gate Blvd, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80921. Light refreshments will be served after the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to Samaritan's Purse in honor of Bob.
