Robert E James, 61, of Colorado Springs, Colorado was taken too soon on May 4, 2017. Robert was born on February 11, 1956 in Columbus Mississippi to the late Dewitt James and Sadie Harvey and raised by Sadie and Jim Collins (his mother and stepfather).
Robert worked for 19 years at Compassion International as a Supervisor. There Robert had quite an impact on the community with his larger than life personality.
Left to mourn the loss of a wonderful man is the love of his life Anna Halula-James, daughter Gabrielle Halula-James, Step Daughter Heather Gossman, grandchildren, Christian Brannan, Rosemary Halula-Fults, Penelope Gossman, Archibald Halula-Fults, Winter Gossman and Harrison Halula-Fults. He is preceded in passing by his parents.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO. 80910 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert's name to Compassion International, https://www.compassion.com.
