Robin Lee Barka

Robin was born July 14, 1963 to Robert and Rosalie Briggs. Robin and her brother Tom were adopted by Carole Briggs in 1972.

Robin is survived by her husband, Kenneth Barka of twenty-three years; two sons, Andrew Hutchinson of Escondido, AZ, and Matthew Hutchinson of Flagstaff, AZ; her mother, Carole Briggs of Sun City, AZ; brother, Timothy Briggs of Colorado Springs, CO; three stepbrothers, Scott Frane of Phoenix, AZ, Steve Frane of Pullman, WA, and Kevin Frane of Sun City, AZ.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Thomas Briggs in 1995; her father, Robert Henle Briggs in 2002; and her mother, Rosalie Weaver.

Robin was a very caring person. She volunteered at the Southgate Ecumenical Resource Center (a food pantry) where she often made homemade cookies for the clients. During the COVID pandemic she made facemasks. She was very talented and creative. She made jewelry and did cross-stitch. She played the handbells and sang in the choir at Village Christian Church. She graduated as a massage therapist, for which she was a natural at.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 1615 East Cheyenne Road in Colorado Springs, CO on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
