Ron was born January 16, 1934, in Alexander, KS., to Owen and Mabel (Gisick) Hall at their family farm. They moved to Colorado Springs, CO., in June 1946. Ron attended South Junior High and Colorado Springs High School, graduating in 1952. After graduation, he worked in the film library at Camp Carson until he was drafted into the Army in 1954; he served overseas at Wiesbaden AFB in Germany. After leaving the Army, he returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Glover, in September 1957.
They were married for almost 65 years. He worked in civil service for the United States Air Force Academy in the Audio Visual Department until his retirement in 1989. At that point, he became Grandpa daycare for his grandchildren. He was involved in Boy Scouts, woodworking, oil painting, and, most important to him, coin collecting. He and Dorothy loved traveling, researching genealogy, and attending chuckwagon jamborees with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Burl and Richard, his daughter Steffie Hall, and his wife Dorothy.
He is survived by his son Greg (Ginger) Hall; grandson Luke (Kiley) Hall; granddaughter Amanda (Gregg) Roderick; great-grandsons Waylon Roderick, Brantley Roderick, and Masen Hall; and great-granddaughters Harley Hall and Oakley Hall.
The Celebration of Life service in honor of Ronald L. Hall will be held at Swan Law, located at 501 N Cascade Ave., on June 10, 2024, at 10 AM.
