Rosemarie Browne Briggs "Marie" was born in Levittowne NY on September 1, 1951. She moved with her parent's family to Colorado Springs in 1965. She graduated from Benet Hill Academy and attended UCCS receiving a BA in psychology. She also attended Parson School of Design in New York City with a focus on graphic design and calligraphy. She worked for the Probation Department for the Fourth Judicial District, taught special education and art in Colorado Springs and worked as graphics designer. She is survived by Thomas her husband, Matthew, Elliott and Spencer, her sons and Alexandra her daughter who is serving in the US Navy. Her interests included gardening, painting and interior design. She was a great calligrapher and scribe who fought technology up to and including Windows8. Services for Marie will be on Friday July 19 at 2pm at Swan Law Funeral home 501 North Cascade Av.
