

Rosemary, a long time resident of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully at home Sunday from brain cancer. She was born on November 4th, 1940. She was a kind and gentle woman who enjoyed giving her time to local causes including the Marian House and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Symphony Guild.
Rosemary was Valedictorian of the class of 1958 Newell High School (South Dakota). She then attended the University of South Dakota, graduating Suma Cum Laude in1962. Rosemary traveled the world as a flight attendant with TWA for two years. She returned to South Dakota to start her teaching career in Rapid City. Rosemary moved to Colorado Springs in 1975, resuming her career as an English teacher. She retired from Harrison School District in 2003.
Rosemary married Thomas Dalsaso in 1980 in Colorado Springs. Together they raised 6 children. Some of the activities she especially enjoyed were jogging, playing bridge and traveling. One of her yearly highlights was attending her family reunion in Custer State Park, SD, where she would reunite with her mother, many siblings and their families. Rosemary will be missed by all who loved her and knew her.
Rosemary Dalsaso is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Thomas Dalsaso Sr.; children: Bruce Ranney, Stuart Ranney, Dr. Thomas Dalsaso Jr, Dr. Timothy Dalsaso, Kathy Dalsaso Mitchler and Megan Dalsaso; Mother, Marjorie Hafner, and Siblings: Dr. Dan Hafner, Joanne Michniewicz, Gail Goheen, Beverly Eide, Ed Hafner, Valerie Thomas, and Vincent Hafner.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the Marian House Soup Kitchen, 14 W. Bijou St Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
