Roy Felix Cano, Sr., went to join his beloved Wife, Dolores, and son, Richard, in Heaven on May 11, 2011. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Roy was born in Colorado Springs and married his true love, Dolores, on September 21, 1945. Roy was a well-known plasterer and a longtime member of the Plasterers' and Cement Masons' Union, Local 149. He loved to dance and was ranked among the top 10 players in the local men's pool league. Roy is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores E. Cano, son, Richard Cano, brother, Marshal Cano, father, John Cano and mother, Mary Acosta. He is survived by his sister, Mary Hillmer and his children, Mary Lou Gordon, Roy F. Cano, Jr., Elaine Cano, Sharon L. Cano, Perry D. Cano, Dominque Lucero, Kelly J. Cano and David Allee; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 17th 2011 @ Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be from 10am ~ 12pm.
Funeral Services will follow at 12pm. Roy Cano will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
