Roy Thomas Gonsor, 84, passed away March 9, 2017. He was born March 26, 1932 in Waubay, South Dakota to Pauline and Peter Gonsor. Roy worked on the family farm and is survived by his sisters, Agnes and Angie.
Roy was drafted into the Korean War and served his country honorably. Roy is a veteran of the Vietnam War and proudly served 22 years in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman and was awarded the several medals for his service. His military career included tours to Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and Germany.
After retirement, Roy was a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and going to Bingo.
Roy is survived by his wife, Sonja, and their three children; Barbara, Susie, Thomas, and seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Rosary will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 5354 US HWY 85, Colorado Springs, CO. 80911 will Memorial Services on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation.
