Sandra Joy Conrad

Sandra was born April 29, 1940, in Buffalo Lake, MN, to Lyle Louise Boehlke and Dorothy Ida Bertha (Zuelke) Boehlke. Sandra graduated from Buffalo Lake High School in 1958 and continued her education at St. Cloud State College, MN, where she met Gordon Wayne Conrad. They were married December 20, 1961, in Buffalo Lake, MN. Together they lived in Minnesota and Florida before settling in Colorado Springs, CO, in 1965.

Sandra is survived by her son Jeff (Deb), her daughter Julie Yashur (Darrell), and her grandchildren Jared and Rachael. Sandra is also survived by her four sisters Suzanne Walker, Sharon Starrett (Doug), Sally Granger, and Lynda Hammer (Jeff) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra is predeceased in passing by her husband, Gordon Conrad.

Sandra cherished her time raising her children. She also became an important part of her grandchildren's life and development, spending many days with them when young and attending their extra curricular activities as often as possible.

Sandra also enjoyed her yearly trips to Minnesota to spend time with her family.

Sandra was an enthusiast of books, avid football fan, enjoyed baking, appreciated the outdoors, and loved sewing.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, October 27 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, with reception immediately following at 11am at Swan-Law. Interment will be held at 1pm at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs.
