Scott Jeffrey Fosher

Scott was born October 31,1981 in Scottsbluff, NE to Monte and Gail Fosher. He had one sister, Erin. Growing up in Nebraska, Iowa, and Indiana, the family enjoyed church activities, sporting events and road trips across America. Scott graduated from Lake Central High School in St. John, IN in 2000 where he played football and ran track.

Following high school, Scott attended Indiana State University for 3 years majoring in Social Studies/History. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army, graduating from bootcamp in Ft. Benning, GA in 2005. He married Tara Gillette prior to his first deployment. In 2006, their daughter Ashlyn was born. Scott served two lengthy tours of duty in Iraq as an Infantryman and another in Afghanistan. He rose to the rank of Sergeant 1st Class, serving as squad leader and platoon sergeant of his Stryker Unit during his multiple deployments. Scott was preceded in death by his wife Tara, after which he left military service and worked at various banks including USAA and prior to his passing, US Bank.

In 2018 Scott married Amy Irvin and they had one daughter, Abigail.

Scott enjoyed sports in general but football in particular. He was a huge Nebraska Cornhusker football fan who loved attending games with his family. He was a self-taught guitarist and was an admitted geography nerd.

Scott is survived by wife Amy, his two daughters Ashlyn and Abigail, his loving parents Monte and Gail Fosher, his sister Erin Horein and husband Andy, grandmother Marion Timmer, along with nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and close friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Mountain Springs Church, 7345 Adventure Way in Colorado Springs, CO on May 22, 2025. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 at the church followed by the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Scott’s memory to Look What the Cat Brought In cat rescue located in Colorado Springs. Scott loved cats and hoped one day he would have one of his own.
