Sean Timothy Shinnick

Sean was born in Port Arthur, TX to John P. Shinnick and Verna Veazey Shinnick and spent most of his childhood in Orange, TX golfing, skateboarding, and riding his bmx bike. He later moved to Houston where he began his education in electronics engineering and computer programming. Sean was passionate about a wide range of topics beyond his education and was very knowledgeable in physics, science, math, music, politics, mechanics, and was a brilliant man. He was a truth-seeker and strived to educate those around him to be better.

In 2006, he married his long-time sweetheart, Shelly. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Keely. Sean was a loving father and husband who home-schooled Keely until his passing. We will miss his fights over the last piece of cherry pie, shooting straw wrappers at each other, and even his complaining about his never ending task list.

Sean is survived by his wife, Shelly Shinnick, daughter, Keely, brother Dr. Dan Shinnick, OD & wife Rosie of Mission, TX, sister Kathe Rumsey & husband Lyndon of Olympia, WA, brother John Shinnick III & wife Judy of BC Canada. Nieces & Nephews - Monse, Isabella, Heather, Zoe, Ian, and KellyAnne, His favorite FIL, Doug Mack & MIL Lahoma Mack, pets Shasta & KitKat. Brothers from another mother, Howard, Eddie, Brian, John, Vlad, Don, and many other close friends too numerous to mention.

Although Sean’s life was too short, he made a big impact on those around him and he will live on through those he influenced and through his daughter. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service to honor Sean will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at St. Arnold Brewery, Investors Pub from 3pm to 6pm. Attire is casual, optional – wear your favorite patriotic colors or gear.
