Sharon Virginia Love

Sharon Virginia Love, 69, Colorado Springs, CO. Went to be with The Lord on April 14, 2013. Sharon was born on November 24, 1943 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Clyde and Ruth Burkes. She was one of three daughters. Sharon taught Math for many years, until her health required her to change occupations. She enrolled at Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Sharon was hired by Amoco Oil in Tulsa, OK as a Computer Programmer and then went on to work for American Airlines and Sabre Group for several more years before retiring. Sharon lived in Oklahoma most of her life, and moved to Colorado 3 years ago to live near her oldest daughter.

Sharon is survived by her daughter Amy Gambrell and husband Joe, of Peyton, CO. Daughter Virginia (Ginny) Knight and husband Richard, of Broken Arrow, OK. Granddaughter Lyndsey Gambrell and Grandson Alex Knight. Sister Maureen White and husband Dan, of Canyon, TX. Sister Jane Banister and husband Mickey, of Edmond, OK. As well as 2 nephews, 3 nieces, many cousins and so many special friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ruth Burkes.

Sharon was a faithful servant to The Lord, and was looking forward to being in His arms. Her favorite Bible verse was Psalms 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God."
