Stanley Russell Lang, Jr., 78, went home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Stan was born July 28, 1937 to Stanley Russell Lang, Sr. and Vivian May Dautel in East Orange, New Jersey, the oldest of 2 children.
Stan married Judith Ann Wenger May 5, 1962 and later divorced in 1974. After earning a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1965, Stan began a 34-year career at Hewlett-Packard of Colorado Springs (later to become Agilent). He held various positions within the company: R&D, Marketing and Sales, both as engineer and manager. While taking a temporary project assignment at H-P Labs in Palo Alto, California, Stan met his beloved, Deanna Gail Miller. They married on May 31, 1975 and moved back to Colorado Springs that same year. Stan's work required travel all around the world with much of his later work located in Japan. After retiring in 2000, Stan was called into mission work, and eventually partnered with The Navigators to share his love of Christ with the people of Japan. That remained his passion for the rest of his life.
Stan was a true renaissance man. He was an engineer, outdoorsman, writer, designer, poet, avid reader, world traveler. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and participating in Bible studies. He loved the outdoors and appreciated God’s creation. There are many fond memories of camping, hiking and fishing in the Rockies of Colorado. He had friends all over the world, and will be missed by us all.
