

Steve was a life-long resident of Colorado Springs, graduating from Palmer High School in 1968. Steve joined the U.S. Army, serving in Viet Nam and Germany, before returning to the area and earning a degree in auto mechanics from El Paso Community College. Steve was a master mechanic working for Daniels Chevrolet, Williams Chevrolet, Precision Motors and finishing his career as the fleet mechanic for Pikes Peak Community College, retiring in 2010.
Steve married Kathryn Louise Morford on October 19th, 1974, and to this union daughters Theresa (Tracy) and Kayleen were born.
In retirement, Steve enjoyed fishing, playing on the computer and especially entertaining his grandsons.
Steve leaves behind his wife of almost 51 years, Kathy; daughters: Tracy (James) Ritter of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Kayleen (Roger) Adcock of Colorado Springs; grandsons: Matthew and Zach Ritter; sisters: Caroline Nelson and Nicola Weber; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Steve and Becky Morford, Ken and Sue Morford, Joanna Burmeister, and Clint and Kathy Morford; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Although confined by limited mobility due to medical issues in recent years, Steve always had a smile on his face. He will be lovingly remembered as a man of many talents, who was loving and generous with his time and talents.
